Wix has made it easier than ever before to add a contributor to your website. Now you have the option to add a Admin, Back Office Manager, Blog Editor or Blog Writer!
We all have heard the stories over the years....one of the many fears website owners have had is the web help can steal or locks people out of there accounts and demand money to gt back in. So let's get started! Wix has addressed just this issue recently. With Wix's constantly upping it's game so it is more friendly to more people, it has added one of the latest features is adding people as contributor to your website.
Whether it is your web designer or your blog writer, things have never been easier for you to do. With 2 Easy Steps your on your way to getting your Contributor added.
Things You Need!
Your Contributor's e-mail address
5 Minutes of your time
These easy steps will allow your Contributor to access your Wix website during your sessions without giving over your control of your website.. With this method you still have full control of your contributor access. After your final Sixty session, you can remove your expert’s access to your Wix website.
*Note: If you have several Wix websites and want to work on those with your expert, you'll want to follow these instructions for each website you want to them to have
Step 1: Log in to your Wix account.
Navigate to wix.com and click Sign In at the top right.
Step 2 - Go to Your Site Action drop down menu and click on the arrow.
Step 3 - Select Add Contributor
Step 4 - Type your Contributor's E-mail in the box here.
Step 5 - Select what your Contributor is going to do for you. For this example we are going to use Admin option as our selection.
Step 6 - Click on the Send Invite button...and off she goes. Wa La you have just added your first Contributor! Way too go!
BUT WAIT! WHAT IF I DON"T WANT THEM ANYMORE?
That is ok. It super simple to remove them. Here is what you do.
Step 1 - Make sure that you are in Your Dashboard. It will say Dashboard at the upper left. Now look down the Page and you will see something that says: Tools for Your Site. Now Look for the Box that says ADD CONTRIBUTOR and click on it.
Step 2 - Select the person you are looking for and click on the 3 dots next to their name of the right-hand side.
Step 3 - Click delete and your done. Absolutely painless!
And there you go! You are the Boss of the Website!
